How to Play

Play Super Penguboy online for free. Super Penguboy is a 15-level platforming game starring a normally flightless bird who can soar using a jetpack. Help the penguin protagonist cross each level. Defeat bad guys, avoid hazards, and collect as many stars and coins as you can. This game is rendered in mobile-friendly HTML5, so it offers cross-device gameplay. You can play it on mobile devices like Apple iPhones, Google Android powered cell phones from manufactures like Samsung, tablets like the iPad or Kindle Fire, laptops, and Windows-powered desktop computers. All game files are stored locally in your web browser cache. This game works in Apple Safari, Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge, Mozilla Firefox, Opera and other modern web browsers.

Starting the Game

On the welcome screen:
- Select New Game to begin a new session.
- Select Continue to return to an older session.
- Select How to Play to learn the controls of the game.
- Toggle the game’s audio via the sound button on the top right corner.
- Your web browser automatically saves your progress and high score.

    - Use the A and D keys to move left and right, respectively.
    - Use the W key to jump.
    - Use the J key to use the jetpack.
    - Use the K key to use the parachute.
    - Use the L key to use the laser gun.
    - Touchscreen devices
      - Use the left and right arrow buttons to move.
      - Use the up arrow button to jump.
      - Use the jetpack button activate the jetpack.
      - Use the parachute button to activate the parachute.
      - Use the gun button to activate the laser gun.

        Upper row
        
        Top left
        
        Hearts: These indicate the number of hit points you have left.
        
        Jetpack: This shows the remaining power your jetpack has.
        
        Top center
        
        Stars: This tracks the number of stars you’ve collected so far.
        
        Top right
        
        Score: This tracks the points you’ve earned through the level.
        
        Pause button
        
        Sound button
        
        Bottom row (mobile only)
        
        The left and right arrow buttons are on the bottom left corner.
        
        The jetpack, laser, parachute, and up arrow buttons are on the bottom right corner.
        
        Game Play
        
        Level selection
        
        There are 15 levels in this game. They are unlocked in sequence.
        
        Below each level in the selection screen is the star rating you previously earned in the
        
        You can replay any of the levels you unlocked to improve your score and star rating.
        
        Basic
        
        Run and jump through the level to reach the end.
        
        Collect all 3 stars.
        
        Pick up coins.
        
        Defeat the enemies you encounter.
        
        Jetpack
        
        Use the jetpack to reach parts of the level that are too high up for you to reach.
        
        The jetpack has limited power. If it runs out of juice, you fall.
        
        The jetpack charges automatically, but only if it’s completely empty.
        
        Some places have alternative routes over using the jetpack.
        
        Hearts, enemies, and hazards
        
        Hearts
        
        Hearts serve as your hit points. They provide you with some defense against enemies and sharp obstacles.
        
        You start the game with 3 hearts and lose one each time you get hit.
        
        You can replenish your hit points by collecting the hearts strewn across the level.
        
        When you lose all your heart points, you die and must start the level all over again.
        
        There are only a limited number of lives in a level. Collect them only if you need them.
        
        Chasms
        
        Falling off a chasm causes you to instantly die, regardless of how many hearts you have.
        
        You can avoid falling off chasms by reaching another platform in time.
        
        You can also use your jetpack or parachute to stave off falling.
        
        Use the jetpack to ascend from a chasm. Make sure you have enough power to reach the other side.
        
        Use the parachute to slow down your descent when crossing wide chasms.
        
        Foes
        
        Foes will attack you if you get too close.
        
        If your enemy hits you, you lose a life.
        
        You can kill these enemies using your laser.
        
        Axes
        
        Axes swing around in a circle. If they hit you, you lose a life.
        
        Time your jumps to avoid the axes.
        
        Scoring
        
        Points
        
        Coins are worth 325 points each.
        
        Each enemy you kill is worth 1,000 points.
        
        Each star is worth 10,000 points.
        
        Stars and ratings
        
        Stars are essential to earning a 3-star rating and are an important part of your high score.
        
        You need to collect all the stars to earn the highest possible score in the game.
        
        Tips and notes
        
        When using the jetpack, overshoot.
        
        Go slightly above your target platform just to use up all your jetpack’s power.
        
        This way, you’ll charge up your jetpack again for the next time you need to use it.
        
        Do this only when you’re certain you would down to a secure location.
        
        Players who are left-handed will have a significantly easier time playing this game on the desktop. The controls are all located on the left side of the screen.
