How to Play

Play Caribbean Slide online for free. Caribbean Slide is a 120-stage pirate-themed Mahjong Slide game. Collide identical tiles into each other to clear both tiles from the board. Remove all tiles to beat each stage and move onto the next. This game is rendered in mobile-friendly HTML5, so it offers cross-device gameplay. You can play it on mobile devices like Apple iPhones, Google Android powered cell phones from manufactures like Samsung, tablets like the iPad or Kindle Fire, laptops, and Windows-powered desktop computers. All game files are stored locally in your web browser cache. This game works in Apple Safari, Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge, Mozilla Firefox, Opera and other modern web browsers.

Starting the Game

Select the Play button in the lower left of the welcome screen to bring up the level select screen.
Under the Play button are buttons for how to play Help, High Scores, and More Games.
The lower left corner of the welcome screen has a language select dropdown.
The lower right corner of the welcome screen has buttons for game settings, social media sharing, and reading game developer information.
Game Controls
- Desktop
  - Use your mouse left click button to select a stone and then drag your mouse across to slide it. Repeat the process until you have 2 identical stones placed in adjacent positions.
  - Touchscreen devices
    - Tap the screen with a finger and drag your finger across the screen to slide a stone until you have 2 identical stones in adjacent positions.
    - Controls & indicators
      - The top of the level play screen shows which level number you are on, what your level score is, and a timer meter.
      - The bottom of the level play screen has the following buttons
        left: sound control & music control
        center: shuffle, reset board, & undo moves
        right: pause game, game settings, & full screen mode
        The level select screen shows which levels you have unlocked, what you scored on each stage, and your total game score.
        Game Play
        Stone matching
        Sliding
        You can slide stones left, right, up or down.
        Stones slide in whichever direction you move them until they either run into the edge of the level or another stone.
        Stones which are atop a stack of stones can slide off of them onto lower levels.
        There is no limit to how many times you can slide a particular stone.
        Double sliding
        You can slide two tiles in orthogonal directions in rapid succession and have the tiles run into each other in the middle of their move, though timing such interactions is quite hard.
        Identical
        You can only match identical stones which depict the same pictures on them.
        Adjacent
        To match stones you either need them to directly collide into one another, or come to rest at adjacent positions (side-by-side or above-and-below, but not diagonally).
        Special stones
        Some stones in this game have special features.
        Gray stones with a skull and crossbones are walls, representing level barriers. On some levels the edge of the screen represents the barriers in some directions.
        On level 2 blue stones are introduced. You can not move the blue stones & must instead slide other stones into them.
        On level 6 locked positions are introduced. You have to get the purple key to unlock the locked squares. On some levels a single key unlocks multiple squares.
        On level 15 there are purple-blue stones which allow other stones to warp through them.
        On level 21 a ladder tile is introduced. Sliding stones into ladders from certain directions allows the stones to jump over a nearby wall.
        Levels
        This game has 120 stages which are unlocked sequentially.
        You can replay any level you have already beat to try to earn a better score on it.
        You can earn up to a 3 star rating on each level.
        The level select screen shows your score and associated star rating on each level.
        Most levels have 4 to 12 tile pairs on them.
        Levels grow more complex as you advance through the game, both with more tile pairs & more special tile types.
        Scoring
        Your game score is cumulative across levels.
        Scoring points
        You score 100 points for each tile pair you remove.
        While the level does not show a clock, you also gain bonus points for finishing levels quickly, depending on how full the blue meter is in the upper right. You can earn up to roughly 1,750 per level.
        Assistance
        Shuffles come in unlimited quantities and do not cost points.
        Move undos are also free.
        Resetting the level starts the level over again.
        Some levels have weird shapes where tiles can get stuck and not be moveable for a match if you make a wrong move. If that happens you can either undo many moves or simply restart the level.
        Target Audience
        The game is suited for players who like Mahjong Slide tile match games.
        The game has no adult themed content.
