How to Play

Play Feed Monster online for free. Feed Monster is a customizable Pac-Man inspired maze attack game with 2 game modes. Play a standard game where you evade ghosts and collect pellets. Alternately, play a fire wall game where you avoid ghosts and an oncoming wall of flame while collecting as many pellets as you can. This game is rendered in mobile-friendly HTML5, so it offers cross-device gameplay. You can play it on mobile devices like Apple iPhones, Google Android powered cell phones from manufactures like Samsung, tablets like the iPad or Kindle Fire, laptops, and Windows-powered desktop computers. All game files are stored locally in your web browser cache. This game works in Apple Safari, Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge, Mozilla Firefox, Opera and other modern web browsers.

Starting the Game

On the welcome screen, select Start to begin.
Use the gear button on the top right corner to view the following options:
- Speaker button: Turns the game’s audio on or off.
- Enlarge button: Toggles between windowed and full-screen mode.
- Use the arrow buttons on either side of the board of the welcome screen to change the board wall colors or board layout.
  - The game has 14 maps, 6 themes, and 2 different modes (classic vs endless).
    - In classic mode (no flames on the level layout) you play through a series of discrete levels until they are cleared of all pellets.
    - In endless mode (with fire on a side or the bottom) the screen moves and you try to keep up with it until either the edge of the screen catches up to you or you run into a monster.

        With your keyboard, use the arrow keys to change direction.
        Touchscreen devices
        Tap on the controllers to change the monster’s direction

        The following options are shown on the left center side of the screen, from top to bottom:
        Your score
        The level number
        The number of lives you have left
        The gear button is located on the top right corner of the screen. It contains the following controls, from top to bottom:
        Speaker button
        Enlarge button
        Quit button: Exits the game and returns you to the welcome screen
        Touchscreen devices
        The touchscreen version of the game is arranged differently.
        The gear button remains in its place on the top right corner,
        Your score and the level number occupy the row above the maze.
        The maze itself occupies the center of the screen.
        Your remaining lives are shown on the bottom left corner.
        The touchscreen arrow controllers are on the bottom right.
        Game Play
        Customize your game
        Choose from various mazes and themes.
        The upper arrows pick out a maze. Each of the mazes have their own unique challenges.
        The lower arrows pick out a theme. Themes are purely cosmetic and don’t affect your game.
        You can pick a new maze each time you restart the game.
        Basic rules
        As a monster, collect all the pellets to win the game.
        Avoid the patrolling enemies.
        Collect the large pellets to turn the tables on your foes & eat them.
        They blink before they are about to return to their normal state.
        Mazes
        In most mazes, once you finish all the pellets, you start a new level.
        Keep playing for as long as you can.
        Your lives carry over throughout the game.
        In mazes with walls of fire, you clear a level after the maze scrolls down past a certain point. Keep avoiding the wall of fire and the ghosts.
        Difficulty in the levels varies. Some levels have more ghosts and
        Navigation
        The monster automatically moves by itself. They stop when they hit a wall.
        You can change direction by using the arrow keys or the controller buttons when there’s a fork or a corner ahead.
        Keep changing directions to travel through the maze.
        Scoring
        Each pellet is worth 20 points.
        Each large pellet is worth 100 points.
        Each egg is worth 200 points.
        Lives and hazards
        In most levels, you have 3 lives:
        You lose a life each time an enemy ghost eats you.
        Your lives carry over for each level you play.
        E.g. you end up with 2 lives at the end of one level, you only have 2 lives in the next.
        There is no way to replenish your lives.
        Lose the third life and it’s game over.
        In levels with an advancing wall of fire, being eaten by the ghosts or succumbing to the wall of fire is an instant game over.
        Turning the tables.
        There are a limited number of big pellets that enable you to attack the ghosts.
        Collect a big pellet and the ghosts will change color and move slowly. At this point, they can be attacked.
        Once the ghosts reach their hiding spot, however, they will immediately resume hunting you.
        We recommend taking on the ghosts when they’re not close to their hidey hole.

        The game is suited for players who like Pac-Man inspired games.
        The game has no adult themed content.
